Well hello ladies. Me and my gfs had planned an 80's themed bachelorette party. It turned out to be a very colorful night with really retro outfits. I think Jenni has definitely earned herself a gold star for the one she put together. "Vintage" pieces from her mum's closet. hehe.
As you know the 80's is full of crazy trends. It was hard to pick and choose which look I wanted to go for until I remembered Marc by Marc Jacob's SS 2010 collection. I was inspired by the bunny bows that Madonna use to wear in her videos.
What is your favorite look or trend from the 80's?
Making a few adjustments to my dress...
taa daa. crimped hair, blue eyeshadow, pink lipstick
the eye of the tiger..rawr! damn we all look like we're 12 yrs old in this pic. where are the rest of the girls?

You look so cute! I love the bow. I'm so in love with Marc Jacobs this season, everything aboot the collection is just perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun theme to do! The bow looks so cute on you (hmmm, doubt I could pull that off) and I love polka dots as well! You look gorgeous and you and your friends looked like you guys had an awesome time. A trend that I like from the 80s...uh, remember those Guess jean jackets? LOL. Yep, and I guess ripped jeans although those are back in as well now. And colourful pumps- like skittle candie colours :) Yes I try to go clubbing often - it's a fun way to let loose ;)

ReplyDeleteRE: the vintage photos are done by playing with the curves.. for each RGB color, you make a "S" curve shape.. im doing a tutorial asap when i have the time.. so i guess it'll be easier for me to describe when i have the tutorial up ! :D
ps howd u get that bokeh effect ?
Oh dear. I think you're gonna hate me for saying this. My 1st impression when I saw your look was that I'm seeing a cute life-sized Minnie Mouse. =D
ReplyDeleteI love how you did the hexagonal bokeh effect in the picture of your skirt and feet. So flickr-worthy.
