How i miss the pink sky and the salty wind. They had become my best friends. My summer was filled with silly laughter, adventures and the smell of suntan lotion. But now it is the end...yet strangely enough I cant complain. There is something in the autumn air that I've always loved & found comfort in. The evident change in season reminds me of how everything in nature is impermanent & always changing and transforming...as with life and what's inside me

Hey guys, Just sitting at the Calgary airport right now waiting to board my plane to Cali. (Thx Tiff for the mags from Japan =D) Im so excited for this adventure. Summer has not ending just yet =) My first stop is Hollywood!! I will keep you posted so you can enjoy all the eye candy too.

Netcandi presents: Heroes Ball

I know its a little early to post anything about Halloween but listen up. This year Netcandi is holding their annual Halloween party at The Big Four building on the stampede grounds. It's going to be massive and Im quite excited because I am working on a project for them. So the theme of the party is Super Heroes.. or villians =P and my task is to design and put together 12 costumes for the Netcandi models. Im currently working on it...trying to finish 4 before I head off to LA and NYC! Wish me luck... I've only got a few days left!

I've never been good with keeping boyfriends...i think its because i jump into relationships too quickly & never really stop to ask myself if this is what i really want. so im doing things differently now. I know its such a cliche but you really gotta love yourself first and do the things you need to do. when one begins to love themselves and accept themselves for who they are they can do the same when faced with another person. u need that foundation in urself. i think when i do fall in love it will be for real. next time it will be for real cos i know so much more now & my hear is opened so much more now. In the meantime i wish i had a bunny.... hehe

Falling in love with life

Lately I've been viewing my life with fresh eyes and it feels like a new world has been born. I have come to a deeper understanding of myself and a deeper way of living life. This process has been like uncovering hidden treasures inside me. Every situation I come across seems so beautiful. Even the other day when everything seemed to go wrong I stopped to try and see the beauty in it. What I saw was 5 of my close friends standing in front of me. At the right place at the right time! They offered their concern, support and encouragement. I felt defeated, I was delirious, overwhelmed & super stressed out but realizing how blessed I was to have these ppl in my life just brought a sense of lightness and warmth in my heart. I know that life was trying to tell me something important in that instance. Its not about what happens to you but what kind of thoughts you hold. Things can always be transmuted and transformed to something beautiful just by learning to control your thoughts.

Creating, expressing, inspiring and exploring are apart of me just like breathing. For a while I felt out of touch with this part of me but I have discovered it again.. it had always been there, thanks to a special someone who helped encourage me....who had seen and appreciated that part of me I thought was missing. I also give my gratitude to all the recent synchronicities & events that have happened to help me come to this point and time. This is what it feels like to live from the inside out...not from the outside in. I am falling in love with life....and in the process attracting the right ppl and things into it to help me on this journey. In return I want to be able to give back.

When we smell, we smell not just with our nose but also with our heart. Smell is a powerful sense as it is tied very strongly to memories. The freshness of rain brings me back to a childhood memory of when i felt truly alive...sitting with my neighbor friend in his backyard patio drenched from the rain, we wrapped ourselves in an itchy blanket as we giggled and laughed till we couldn't distinguish between the raindrops from our tears anymore. Or when you are shopping at the mall you catch a dash of cologne that your past lover used to wear... a hundred billion memories arise in that moment."Smells communicate just as words do...we can choose not only HOW to smell but also how to be remembered, the impressions we make and what mood we leave lingering behind."



♡Perfume Notes♡

-Top Notes: These fade after a few seconds. They evaporate quickly and usually consists of short fresh bursts that are immediately noticeable upon application.
-Middle Notes: defines the essence of the scent & is usually described as the "heart." Last a few hours.
-Base Notes: are rich and long-lasting that give scents their depth. This stays with you the longest and mixed with your own scent(yes everyone has their own natural scent, not talking about B.O =P) to create a unique smell

♥ The best way to choose a fragrance is to look for scents that have the same similarities as the ones you loved before. Usually you are attracted to a particular fragrance family. In this site: Fragrances of the World you can choose your favorite scent and it will give you 3 similiar scents in the same fragrance family. So start your search there. You'll only overwhelm yourself if you go into a department store and start sniffing every bottle in there. Like love, the perfect one often comes along when you least expect it.

♥ Never choose and buy a scent in a hurry because the one you smell right away will not be the same scent you smell later on in the day. They will change so if you're shopping, your first stop should be the perfume counter. Spray some on, continue your shopping while you let the scent settle.
♥ Don't store your perfumes in your bathroom because the temperature in the bathroom is always changing. Also avoid sunlight. Scents and perfumes are light and temperature sensitive. The best place to store them is in your fridge
♥ Fragrance needs to react with your skin and body chemistry so try to avoid spraying it on as the last thing you do before hurrying out of your house
♥ The best way to make a scent last longer is to layer it with matching body products. Spray on your perfume first when you get out of the shower and then apply the matching body lotion
♥ When applying scent, NEVER rub it into your skin. When you do this, you crush the scent molecules & damage its smell
♥ Best places to apply are where the blood supply is closest to the surface of your skin...your wrists, behind ears, ankles, between breasts, back of the knees...
